'Le Jardin Majorelle' was the creation of French painter Jacques Majorelle. He began planting in 1922, with exotic botanical specimens from all corners of the world. It is a one-hectare botanical garden oasis and features a Cubist villa designed by French architect Paul Sinoir in the 1930s.
In 1980, Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé, purchased the Jardin Majorelle and successfully worked to preserve the vision of its original owner and restored it to its former glory.
